Subject: Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint
Here's a photo from the archives, taken early on in the development of Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint.
Development of the iOS version is almost complete, so I thought now would be a good time to post this photo here.
I'd done a few sketches and drawings by this point (you can see my sketchbook in the top left of the photo), most of which have made it into the actual game. You can see that the orignal blueprint which we we based much of the game design on (along with some supporting notes and fragments) is in quite poor condition. We did have to use our experience and imagination to fill in some of the gaps, in order to make a coherent video game design, but I think we've remained faithful to the original design.
The copy of Machinery's Handbook (10th Edition) kindly given to me by my father-in-law was an invaluable reference.
