This is a video of possibly the greatest Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint shot ever taken, earning 26 million points in a single shot!
It was sent to us by Andrew Davies, currently top of the game's Leaderboards, and the first member of the Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint Hall of Fame.
Although we deliberately designed the game to allow players to set up clever, inventive shots, I don't think we ever imagined anyone would have the skill and patience to set up a shot like this.
A few people on the Facebook page (where the video first appeared) asked how it was possible. There are a couple of things worth noting:
* Clusters are only removed if they contain 7 balls or all the remaining balls of that colour on the table, so Andrew cleverly makes two 4 ball clusters of each colour, to keep those clusters on the table until the end of the game. (The shot was made on Serious Table 16, which had the required number of balls of each colour.)
* Lives can be 'sacrificed' to make shots which don't wipe the Tariff, but which do move balls or cluster around the table, to line them up just right for a later shot.
Still, there's a lot of careful preparation and planning in a shot like this.
As developers, it was also nice to see that the game didn't break or fall over when pushed to such extremes, although the final shot score was just a bit too big to display on the screen.
