Subject: Hyperbowl
Another old Spectrum loading screen from around 1986. This was a neat little future sports game called Hyperbowl, written by Steve Hughes.
The game used mostly vector graphics, so there was pretty much nothing for me to do as the artist assigned to the game other than a font and a loading screen.
I copied the style of the red clouds from the ships' engines from the style employed by Ultimate (Rare) on the brilliant Cookie loading screen, which absolutely knocked me out when I first saw it.
I love the way I squeezed in a few different colours on the ship's laser beam, using Spectrum attributes. Cheeky!
