Subject: Magnetic Billiards: Seriously Casual
This is the plan diagram I drew to help me build the table model for Magnetic Billiards.
Even for something as basic as a billiards table I still prefer to do some planning on paper first, rather than just jumping in and starting to model.
It almost seems silly to use pencils and graph paper when I've got the most amazing 3D modelling packages available, but designing and planning is always easier on paper for me. Maybe it's because I grew up with a pencil in my hand?
Even though I've been working on computers for all of my adult life, computers were still brand new to me at some point in my childhood.
Perhaps my kids, and the generation that came after me, who have grown up with computers being all around them, won't find it any easier to use physical media over software packages. Or maybe a mouse, or touch screen, or Wacom pad etc., will never be quite as immediate and easy to use as a pencil and piece of paper?
