Subject: Guy Manley
If you were paying attention you might have seen this logo in the background of the three page comic strip I posted a few weeks back, which was going to be the introduction to an adventure game my brother John was writing with his friend Paul Ranson, at school in the early 1980s.
I drew this logo around 1984 or 1985. It was the name of the 'virtual' video game development studio which was part of the story of the Guy Manley game they were planning - the sequel to Ziggurat - and also, the name they were actually writing the game under. This no doubt seemed like an amazing Dr Who style ironic twist at the time.
I think John and Paul's idea was to get everyone involved in the design (in contrast to John's completely solo work on Ghost Town). I drew a three page comic strip, which formed a prologue to the game's storyline, and I'm sure Paul's younger brother and girlfriend were involved somehow as well.
