Subject: Sketches
I did this drawing for a 'sketchbook exchange' I joined through flickr. This is the first page in my sketchbook, which gets sent around in sequence to nine other people, who each add their own drawing to my book. I get everyone else's book in turn, and have to draw a sketch in each one.
This drawing took me a full day, one weekend about a year ago. I don't think I've ever drawn anything this complicated before or since. Click on the picture to go to the flickr page, then click on 'all sizes' above the picture to see the massive original version.
The whole exchange should have taken about a year, but unfortunately I've been a bit slack (along with a couple of the others in the exchange), and I've only drawn in four other sketchbooks so far. I've got one on my shelf ready to draw in, so I might try to get that done over the weekend.
