Subject: Magnetic Billiards: Seriously Casual
This is the first of the Victorian portraits I've done in response to the offer in my blog to do them for anyone who asked.
Regular reader Gary was the first to get in touch, and with a handy photo too, and this is the result.
I'm not sure I got the likeness right, and it's perhaps more Deadwood than Dickensian, but hopefully he likes it.
I actually timed myself when drawing this, which is not something I've done before.
The pencilling took 50 minutes. The inking 20 minutes. Scanning and processing on the computer took about another 25 minutes, and it took me 30 minutes to colour it in. Just a shade over two hours in the end.
