Sardines Animation test #5

This is a fifth little animation test for another character who will be popping up in a new version of Magnetic Billiards we're working on, 'Sardines', which will be an expansion of the Sardines Arcade mode from Blueprint.

This one is loosely based on Bone, the programmer of the game, although I'm not sure I've really captured a good likeness here.

After having a lot of fun animating the previous character over the weekend, I've really struggled with this one, even abandoning my first attempt completely and starting from scratch.

I just ploughed on with it in order to get something finished. I'm not sure that I'm happy with the final result, and I found the work really difficult, but that's how it goes sometimes. I can always come back and tweak it later on if I find myself in a better mood, or come up with an idea to improve it.

I've got one more character to animate now. I hope the animation flows out of me a bit easier this time.

What's your process / toolchain for making anims then getting them into the app? I'd guess Flash + export vector anims, except you're outputting to iOS, so Flash is unlikely :)

No tool, just editing the data in our own engine. There's hardly any animation really, and I just got carried away adding a few more characters after I did a couple as a test.
