Subject: Magnetic Billiards: Sardines
OK, after posting the first draft of the Sardines icon yesterday I got some really useful feedback, on here, Twitter and Facebook. Thanks everyone. General consensus was that it was maybe a bit too busy, and the green version was the best. As well as some people not being that keen on the slightly sinister character, but I like him, and he's in the game, so he's staying.
Sticking with the green background I reduced the number of balls in the background, and also did some work tidying up the character's face, especially the hair, which looked really rough when blown up to full size for the icon (it's tiny in-game, and looks fine). Yesterday's version is on the left hand side of the bottom three.
I also made the character slightly bigger.
There was a great suggestion (thanks Sam!) to try a wooden border instead of shiny metal, which is actually perfect for the game as the in-game panels are made from a combination of wood and shiny metal, so either one makes sense for the icon border.
I like the wooden one!
