Chapter 3 pencils (Deg Illustrations)

Chapter 3 was the easiest of the illustrations in the series. The face I’d drawn filled most of the area, so there wasn’t that much to draw for the background, and only a few discreet scenes or objects and some abstract patterns that were quick to do.

I’d deliberately made the background a bit less detailed than the others as I planned to add an extra layer in the next stage.

There are no pencils for the left hand upper side, as inked that later on, direct from reference of Cologne Cathedral. I went to Cologne when I was 17 and remember staring up at the Cathedral at night, slightly drunk, being in awe of it, so aimed to capture that if I could.
