This illustration felt most like drawing a regular comic page. I’d split all the visual elements apart from each other, dividing them up with twisted wire pairs into about 20 or 21 sections Each of these was then just like drawing a single comic panel. Although over 20 panels on a page is quite a lot!
At the pencilling stage my two favourite ‘panels’ were the German policeman with his guts spilling out (top right), and the writhing, slimy overlapping sexual organs, or more guts (whatever you prefer) down to the bottom right. They were both great fun to draw.
