The background inks were straightforward. You probably can't tell, but I used a slightly different brush style for the backgrounds. More like a pen, and less like a brush, so less expressive with more of a fixed width. This was partly to make it easier / quicker for me, and partly to make the background elements less prominent, but it's probably too subtle for anyone to notice.
Overall the inking stage took about twice as long as the pencilling. Mostly because of the hair!
