Subject: Plok comic strip
Today we sold the 300th Plok comic book! Well, yesterday actually - it takes a day before I see the sales figures update.
Woohoo!
Actually, that's probably a pretty small number in the whole scheme of things, but I still feel very proud to reach this milestone.
I was once the co-publisher of a comic fanzine called Freaky Dancing. We used to give it away free, but by issue 10 we decided to try selling it, and we sold out of our entire print run of 500 copies in about 30 minutes. This was at the Stone Roses' Spike Island concert, but still, it puts our numbers into perspective.
These thee hundred book sales still make smile though, as Plok is really special to us. Even if our fanbase is small, it's brilliant, and I want to thank everyone who's bought a copy, and the smashing folk who support our Patreon to help us keep publishing the new weekly episodes on here (and a special mention to NintendoLife and Retro Gamer as the only people who've given us any press coverage - cheers fellas!).
I've said we'd make a new Plok game if we sell 1 million books, so that's only 999,700 to go. Nearly there!
The books are lovely, even if I say so myself, so if you want to make me smile some more, click the link and start your very own Plok comic collection.
