Subject: Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint
Veteran video game designer John Pickford has been sacked from his position as the 'face' of BAFTA nominated iOS hit Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint.
His brother, and co-designer of the fiendish puzzle game, Ste Pickford, took the decision to remove John from the game's icon with the release of version 3.1 of the game, which also addresses iPhone 6+ performance issues.
"It was ridiculous," explained Ste, "nobody wants to see the face of a late-forties bearded game developer gurning out at them from an icon on their home screen."
"Sales were being affected, and I couldn't stand for it anymore," he continued. "We needed someone younger and fresher to be the face of our product, somebody who could appeal to a younger audience and get the game back to the top of the charts where it belongs."
Ste Pickford, 44, will now be installed as the brand new 'face' of Magnetic Billiards.
John Pickford was unavailable for comment.
